Self-host: your computer, your administration
Documents and revisions stay on storage you administer. AI text goes only to the configured local model. Zentrodocs does not receive it; your machine administrator can technically read it.
Hosted B1: trust in the administrator
Planned EU hosting means convenience, not cryptographic secrecy from the operator. Accounts, roles and limits can be exercised locally. Public hosting is not deployed in this release.
Hybrid: a future split deployment
The goal is hosted collaboration with inference on your endpoint. Full hybrid operation and client-side BYOK are not implemented. Do not send sensitive material to an unverified endpoint.
Privacy has boundaries. We show them.
Hosted beta B1 does NOT cryptographically protect content from the operator. An administrator can technically read server data, including text during inference. A policy against reading is not a technical inability to read. B2 TEE and remote attestation do not exist yet.
